Impress Yourself - Using Clay Slab/Stamps
About the Course
Immerse yourself in the boreal forest by collecting various nature bits to impress into slabs of clay, create your own clay stamps as well as experiment with surface decoration using pre-made stamps of all kinds. We will also construct simple slab pots using premade templates.
As a ‘leave your mark’ group project, your handbuilt tiles will be used to create a ceramic totem or create single stamped forms to hang in various spots around the Ness Creek site. These will become permanent installations at Ness Creek to celebrate your time there as well showcase your impressions of the Boreal Forest.
